The leadership of University of Zimbabwe Christian Union comprises of the Board of Adult Advisors and the Board of Leadership which comprises of students.
The duties of the Chairman are to overseer the running of the fellowship’s business, calling and chairing all UZCU meetings, communicating with guests and associates concerning UZCU business. The office bearer, in consultation with the Central committee make decisions in line with UZCU welfares.
The Vice to the Chairperson is responsible to oversee the performance of all the sub-committees, chairing meetings in the absence of the Chairperson, standing firm to see that UZCU norms are observed without derogation. The holder of this office has the responsibility to organize the structures of all UZCU services, in consultation with the chairman and the Central committee.
The secretary general is a lady at all times, responsible for minute taking in all meetings, and in all important gatherings. She shall oversee the welfare of all ladies issues and meetings in the fellowship. The secretary general is also responsible for chairing ladies meetings and coordinating such events and functions
Co-ordinates all UZCU projects and fundraising efforts, keeps record of all assets, financial transactions, bank statements and accounts. The treasurer is responsible for preparing a financial statement or report of all the financial dealings in every season.
Public Relations Officer
The P.R.O is responsible for all public relations matters. He or she ensures that the image of UZCU and its relations with the associates is upheld. More-so, the network and welfare of students shall be promoted through the office of the public relations officer.
The non-residence representative is responsible for overseeing the welfare of students who are not residing on campus. The office bearer shall in consultation with the Central Committee coordinate the running of lunch hour services which are aimed at benefiting students outside the campus residence.
Fellowship Units Coordinator
The above-mentioned coordinator is responsible for organizing cell-group structures, fellowship units and bible studies. He or she shall with the aid of Fellowship leaders, encourage brethren to meet in these structures for fellowship.
The holder of this office is responsible of coordinating prayer meetings, prayer retreats, and all-night prayers. The office bearer shall oversee the running of morning prayers and evening prayers. Furthermore the prayer coordinator organizes the meetings of intercessors, with the aid of intercession leaders.
The librarian is responsible for keeping library books, and advising every member of UZCU to be reading Christian literature at all times and on all occasions. She keeps a record of borrowed books and it is in his or her discretion to charge a reasonable fine for late returning of books.
The Committee member(s) have the capacity to help and stand in any position in the event that the office bearer is in absentia. He or she shall function in any and every capacity, to ensure that no position will be found wanting.
